Care Requirements

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light (e.g., east or north-facing window). Direct sun will burn the leaves, while too little light can cause the pink patterns to fade.
• Water: Keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Use filtered water, rainwater, or distilled water, as tap water can lead to leaf tip burn.
• Humidity: Requires high humidity (Place near a humidifier, on a pebble tray, or in a bathroom.
• Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 
  Avoid cold drafts.
• Soil & Fertilizer: Use a well-draining, peat-based potting mix. Feed monthly during spring and summer with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer. 
• Appearance: Deep purple/black leaves with a striking pink, irregular, feathered ring and a bright pink midrib.
• Behavior: Known for "prayer plant" habits, where leaves rise and fold up at night and open during the day.
• Size: Generally grows to about 1 - 2 feet in height.
• Safety: Non-toxic and safe for pets. 
• Brown Tips: Usually caused by low humidity or, more commonly, water impurities (chlorine/fluoride).
• Fading Colors: Typically indicates too much direct light, which causes the foliage to lose its dark color.
• Curling Leaves: Indicates the plant is thirsty or the environment is too dry.
